Step 1 - We all can't be Christy Brinkley

She's 63. I am 63. I can assure you, I do not look like her!

1. We admitted we were powerless over the effects of aging - that our lives had become exhausting trying to keep up with youth.

In other words, we all can't be Christy Brinkley and don't even try. I actually feel a little sorry for her- when is she going to start allowing her true beauty, show through? And when it does, how will she receive it?

Healthy eating, exercise, staying active and feeding your mind, is all you need to stay young - but trying so hard to look like you are 40, or younger is just plain silly. All the magic skin potions, liposuction, crazy diets, tummy tucks and facelifts. I mean, if you were that concerned about your looks, you should have been doing something about it, BEFORE you got old.

I see nothing wrong, with aging and the beauty of it. Yes, you heard me - there is a beauty in older women. It's probably because they feel good about themselves.

Frankly, I would rather spend that time, exploring the world, climbing mountains,  being with good friends, watching my grandchildren grow up, reading a good book, and just loving my life, and the people in it.

Aging and growing older is a FACT. We will watch our faces wrinkle and our bodies sag. Try and enjoy this season of your life. Be an example to the younger people - on how to grow old with grace.
